Drôle De Monsieur — SS18 CAPSULE COLLECTION
Drôle De Monsieur’s SS18 capsule collection is based around the iconic sunset logo from the 80’s, intended to hark back to an era only seen on TV. An American age of culture where logos were as essential as it seems to be on streetwear today.
Monitaly
New brand to Edit.
MONITALY has just landed from the US.
Founded by Japanese designer Mr Yuki Matsuda in Hermosa Beach, California, Monitaly updates classic American designs with contemporary fits and fabrication blending sophisticated detailing with astute attention to silhouette. Keeping the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi in mind their ultimate goal is to create garments that will age beautifully and be equally as distinctive and compelling today as they will be tomorrow.
Drôle De Monsieur Collection N°5
This Spring/Summer 2018, Drôle de Monsieur releases “Collection N°5.” Like previous seasons collections, contemporary streetwear styles are infused with a retro aesthetic.
This latest collection by Drôle de Monsieur features track jackets and pants, paneled shirts, windbreakers, functional hoodies, graphic sweatshirts and t-shirts, polos, and caps. To create an easy-to-wear wardrobe, the entire collection has been designed in monochromatic tones. Each piece is made from high-quality luxury fabrics, such as Japanese satins, Italian knits, French woven fabrics, Canadian fleeces, and Korean technical fabrics.
Each season, the designers draw inspiration from childhood memories that continue to play in their minds—such as scenes from old movies and images of the now vintage clothing they once wore—and infuse these with a modern attitude.
Oliver Spencer Spring Summer 2018
Oliver Spencer’s Spring Summer 2018 collection was inspired by Oli’s love of the town he grew up in, London.
London, a beautifully proud, tough and loving place, has always been a love of Oliver Spencer’s. The SS18 collection is a homage to this great city.
The colour palette of dusky green, cool blue, deep umber and ecru are accentuated by stripes and checks that run through the whole collection. Fabrics are textured and intricate with an artisan feel.

Cellar Door — Made In Italy
Earlier this year at the trade fair Pitti Uomo in Florence, we met a guy called Filippo. We were taken by the amazing trousers he was showing. Turns out Filippo’s family own a factory (which we just visited), right up in the north of Italy near the Austrian border, that specialises in trouser production. They make for the best brands in the world – we’re talking Armani, Balenciaga, Loro Piana etc. Filippo has used these tools and his love for Japanese fabric to create some of the best trousers we have seen. They are elegant yet casual, refined yet comfortable and epitomise the new silhouettes happening right now in menswear.
Now, you won’t know this brand. That’s kind of the point. We spend a fair amount of time and money travelling the globe to find these new and exciting brands that perhaps you would otherwise never see. That’s what keeps the Edit. experience interesting, fresh and relevant. And that’s what keeps us motivated.
Trust your taste over brand. Always.
